A Fairy tale Getaway

To everyone connected with your wonderful establishment - I would like to thank you for a very special and memorable stay. Your facility offers the amenities of a large hotel; with the homeyness, warmth and personal touches of a B&B. From the very beginning you were all nothing but wonderful. I realize that I must have been a nightmare for Ric, with all the questions, changes, etc. He never lost his professionalism or sense of humor. Upon our arrival, Dean and Chris both made us feel as though they were welcoming us into their own home. As for your Spa Facilities, thank God for Oliver!!! He is a charming individual, with the most remarkable hands. I'm somewhat a "virgin" where it comes to massage...I found my massages (not a typo - the plural is intentional) incredible. After the first experience, I knew I would just "have" to take advantage of the opportunity every day of our stay there. Gordon is the "World Traveler" of the two of us. Through his work, he has had the opportunity to experience many of the finest spas, and he also found Oliver to be just as wonderful, both in his relaxing demeanor and his expertise as a massage therapist. If I/we are ever in Toronto again, there is no doubt that we will be returning to your wonderful establishment. (That is, if you will have us!!!) Once again, thank you for a wonderful stay. Oh, and by the way, I enjoyed being in the lower level. I loved the room, and would gladly stay in the "Chapel Room" again, except next time I'll want the two rooms that make up a suite! I have always felt as a consumer that the difference between mediocrity and quality is seldom that much in price. For the last four years, when I'm in Toronto, I'm at Gloucester Square - period. I stay there for both business and pleasure and am never disappointed. The rooms are beautifully appointed and maintained and both buildings are elegant. I count the hosts and staff among my friends and they truly care about you and your needs. If you enjoy a quiet oasis in the big city Gloucester Square is the place.

We stayed at this wonderfully renovated and appointed mansion. But what makes this inn so special is the wonderful people that served us and with whom we made friends during our stay. Not only were the thick beds comfortable and the food excellent and plentiful but the frequent conversations with the helpful staff also got us where we wanted to go, even if we didn't really know where that was yet. Northern Ontario

Having to travel on a regular basis to Toronto, the "hotel room" lifestyle leaves much to be desired. Discovering Gloucester Square through a friend's recommendation of an alternative has made my stays much more relaxed and enjoyable. At the end of a long day, having a home away from home to come into, a kitchen for tea, and hosts who treat you like family is an appreciated option to a twenty story hotel and a single room.

San Francisco

I would highly recommend staying at Gloucester Square. The host has done an excellent job of restoring this Victorian home to its original splendor. The rates are more than reasonable, and the attention to detail and to comfort of the guest make it the only place I will stay in Toronto. Thanks again!
